Hoedspruit, South Africa – Reaching a Small Town in a Short Time

With only one month to prepare for an upcoming prophecy seminar, we faced a simple but urgent question:
How do you reach an entire town in such a short time?

Using the AWR Cellphone Evangelism method, we began with a 2-week Facebook campaign, targeting only the Hoedspruit area. The ads invited people to:

  • Send prayer requests

  • Ask Bible questions

  • Join a WhatsApp group for Revelation studies

By 10 January, we had started daily studies on the group — and within a short time, around 150 people joined.

Building Interest Before the Event

As the group grew, we invited everyone to a special Sabbath program on 31 January, featuring:

🎶 Music
🍲 A free lunch
💚 A health talk

This day became a powerful bridge between the digital space and real-life connection, with about 25 visitors attending.

From Contact to Commitment

Every visitor was invited to the prophecy seminar that started the following Monday.
Despite the short preparation time, the seminar had a consistent attendance of around 15 people per evening.

Even more encouraging — the work did not stop there.

Today, a group of about 7 people continues attending Bible studies at the Hoedspruit church.

A United Church, A Living Witness

One of the greatest blessings of this outreach was seeing the church members unite.
Through prayer, teamwork, and genuine care, they created a warm and welcoming environment where every guest felt at home.

One Method, Many Applications

This outreach showed that even in a small town with limited time, the AWR Cellphone Evangelism method can:

  • Create interest
  • Build relationships
  • Lead people to attend

Continue beyond the event

Each campaign may look different — but the foundation remains the same:
reaching people where they are and walking with them toward Christ.
