As I understand it, the great controversy is about God and satan; satan saying God is unjust and questioning God's character. So God is proving satan wrong in front of the whole universe?
Yes God is almighty yet, He allows each of us as weak sinners the choice to say “no†to the Creator of the Universe and we see it illustrated. Rev. 3:20†Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.†Any artistic portrayal ever done on this verse, shows Jesus outside knocking on a door with no outer door handle as a projection to confirm that He only enters when He is invited in. Jesus, in the loving image of His father came to show us the Father’s beautiful character. Satan’s propaganda suggests a tyrant type god who needs to be pleased. It is critical to have a clear understanding of our God, as it will determine our ultimate future. 1 Cor. 4:9 “For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.†We are being watched and will prove the Godhead right and we believe in end time issues and therefore know this verse: Dan. 8:14 “And he said unto me, unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.†We put much emphasis on what Jesus is doing in heaven right now while this text confirms that He wants to finish the work in each of our lives. 1 Cor. 6:19 “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.†The real work is taking place in our lives and that is why final generation theology is a reality. We will prove God is fair and righteous by being intellectually and spiritually so filled with Jesus; that we will be marked as His own, without spot or blemish, His perfect and complete work. Phil. 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.†Jesus does not do things halfway, He only needs a people who is consecrated to Him and are willing to be cleansed!
