Will man live to be 200 in the future?
We have a lot of info in the Bible, both explicit and also implicit for deduction as we learn to know and understand God and His Word. 1 Cor. 13:12 “For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. We may therefore be left in this life with questions that will remain unanswered yet, the answers are not required to know for our salvation. The Bible episodically takes us to new information and mysteries. 1 Cor. 15:51 “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed†While mankind was freshly formed out of God’s hand, and only a short period of sin had affected them, they lived to almost 1000 years. The genetics of man’s DNA then could tolerate inbreeding. The only conclusion we could reach is that Kain and Seth must have married their sisters and marriages escalated to joining with nieces and cousins. We have no other explanation. See to it that we live a life that God may risk saving and have the opportunity for us to ask these interesting questions. I am also convinced that all inside the Holy City, and those outside waiting to attack it, will see a short version of the plan of salvation where large portions of our concerns will be answered! Gen. 6:1 “Now it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.†This describes the lineage of Seth that saw that the daughters of Cain were seductive, dancing, sparsely dressed and full of colour. The lineages became mixed and very sinful. That is why God had to limit the time of man! Gen. 6:3 “And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.†As sin progressed, life became shorter and shorter. We shall live in our new home for eternity!
