Who is Jesus?
One may be given different perspectives depending on who you ask, but it would be critically important to know what Jesus said about Himself. History supports that He was born a Jew out of the tribe of Judah and started His public ministry at around the age of 30 in 27 AD. When one allows Jesus to answer for Himself one gets to the place where one realises that either; He is the Creator of the Universe or, He is a delusional individual. His own evidence does not allow for “good man†or “prophetâ€. He claimed to be the “I am†of the Old Testament and the Jews wanted to stone Him for that claim. He confirmed He was the God who spoke to Moses in the desert. Joh. 8:58 “Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.†59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." Jesus is the Creator and Saviour. He is the second Adam; the 100% human and 100% divine Christ who solves the sin problem! Rom. 8:3 “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,†Jesus did not bypass the rules of inheritance and as the second Adam, He was subjected to 4000 years of deterioration and therefore, in a worse position than the first Adam. John 5:39 “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.†Jesus is the answer to everybody’s strongest desire to know and understand where we are coming from, where we are currently, and where we are heading in the future! The whole revelation of scripture is built around Jesus and for all answers, one needs to arrive at the Bible with that need!
