The 1,000 Years - When exactly will this be and what will we be doing?
The Bible says Christ returns and we read about it: 1 Thess. 4:16 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.†This is followed by the 1,000 Years that is clarified in the book Revelation. Rev 20:2 “He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison.†At the coming of Christ, the living wicked dies and remains with the wicked not having been raised from death. At the soon coming of Christ, the righteous living is united with the righteous dead who are raised by the voice of Jesus to join Him in the air to start the 1000 years in heaven. What will happen in heaven during the 1,000 Years? 1 Cor. 6:3 “Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?†The implied information suggests that we will be able to do an audit on the vindication of God’s fair judgment as witnesses thereof. We will be in agreement with what is written in the books of heaven and why the fallen angels and certain of our own loved ones were a risk to be saved. Rev. 20:6 “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Rev. 21:3 “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. “ When the process in heaven has come to a close during the 1,000 Years, God moves His headquarters to earth. The cubic form of the Most Holy place is then replaced by the cubic New Jerusalem and God ‘tabernacles’ with His mankind as the city lands where the Mount of Olives splits in two as described in Zechariah. Rev. 20:7 “Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison.†At this stage, all created humankind is once again on the earth and every knee bows to acknowledge the Creator as having been fair and just. Only now will the wicked also receive their reward. Rev.20:14 “Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.â€
