Was Jesus the Messiah?
One travels through this life without a proper GPS for directions unless one uses the Word of God to navigate our lives. The Bible claims to be Christ in word form … the “Word of God.†John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.†John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.†When reading the Bible with this perspective that it is Jesus in word form, things start to make sense. Not one portion should be ignored because the experience is like building a puzzle of Jesus. All the pieces are required to get to the amazing realisation that God of the Old Testament is also God of the New Testament – one and the same God. Nothing should be added and nothing should be taken away: Rev. 22:18 “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.†Christ left His footprints for us to follow throughout the Bible … the road that leads us to get to know God: 1 Pet. 2: 21 “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:†Hos. 4:6 “ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.†John 5:39 “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.†2 Cor. 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.†By spending time prayerfully studying our Bible and earnest private prayer, we see Christ more clearly until we start to resemble Him. 2 Pet. 1:20 “knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.†The Bible explains itself, and no areas in it are redundant or unnecessary. The lack of Bible knowledge, as we see, results in people bring a different Jesus and a different gospel. There is no other book that answers where we come from, why we are here, and where are we going. Only the Bible and Jesus show us that there is no other way to be saved – only through HIM. John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.†Dan. 9:24 “Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy. 25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself, and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war, desolations are determined. 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;" Here we have a prophecy that predicts beyond a doubt the arrival of a Man in 27AD who died in 31AD and claimed to be the Messiah. There are furthermore, in the excess of 100 Messianic predictions up to 1500 years earlier that are all fulfilled by this Man, Jesus Christ, and it is not applicable to Krishna!
