Does Jesus come to fulfill the verse that says: "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world" ?
All God’s laws are there for man’s benefit. Some elements of the Jewish economy relied on the type and antitype with major aspects that it foreshadowed the plan of redemption in the role that Jesus played as the antitypical sacrificial Lamb of God. It is critical also to understand that there was a moral law given to Moses on Mount Sinai written on blue sapphire stone by the finger of God and placed in the ark. The ceremonial law followed verbally given to, and written by Moses on paper and placed in the side of the ark. During his 40 days in the presence of God, he also received information on health laws, laws around hygiene, risk of certain foods but also information on the plan of salvation as played out by the visual lessons taught by the Blueprint as portrayed by the tabernacle service. Deut. 31:24 “So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying: 26“Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;†This is the law that was nailed to the Cross that we read about in Colossians … handwritten ordinances that were against us. Col. 2:14 “having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. 16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.†It is very sad that a large percentage of Protestants now use this text as their manner of saying that the moral law was done away with and that we are now only under grace. The Law in Stone as was written by God’s own finger could not be done away with since the real Lamb of God paid the price on the Cross to reconcile God to man. It seemed to have been complete, that nothing other than the reconciliation extra would be needed. But the Blueprint teaches us that the plan of Salvation was not completed in 31AD when Jesus died outside the gates of Jerusalem. Here we see type shadow fulfilled in the work of Jesus to save man. All these Jewish feasts give us critical information of what God did on behalf of man, and only the second coming is left as necessary to have the final type meeting antitype! Jesus was slain once, and no repeat of that would be necessary. The only requirement from as is that Jesus asks us to be baptised and to partake of His death and resurrection by adhering to the Lord’s Supper. For the Jew wanting to adhere to these ceremonial laws meant having to travel to Jerusalem 3 times per year and therefore, it is clear that this could not apply to everybody on earth. So, it means that by us trying to keep to this would suggest that some additions were needed to that which Jesus had already done. There has never been any indication or an idea supported in the Bible that the moral law, the Ten Commandments was of a temporary nature, on the contrary: Matt. 5:18 “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.†We find some very important text in relation to this in Revelation 3. Rev. 12:17 “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.†Jesus’ followers seem to be commandment keepers. Rev. 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.†Rev. 22:14 “Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.†Here obedience to Jesus is reflected by followers doing what is right, including adhering to the moral law and they are … Rev. 14:4 “These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.†The righteous living at the second coming are the Elijah people, and forms the 144 000.
