Is the Bible Sabbath the present Sunday?
The answer for your question in short is, NO. The weekly cycle has no other explanation but the week of creation! There is absolutely no evidence that the weekly cycle was ever interrupted although the Julian calendar changed to the Gregorian calendar, it was date changes in November but no change in the weekly cycle! In the Wilderness, on preparation day Friday, a double portion of manna fell, and nothing portion fell on the seventh day, the Sabbath … our present Saturday! Jesus was crucified on Friday day of preparation: John 19:42 “So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby.†He remained in the grave on the Sabbath/Saturday and resurrected early Sunday morning: Mark 16:9 “Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.†The texts above prove with no doubt that our present Saturday is equivalent to the Bible Sabbath. There are reasons why more than 95% of protestants ignore the fourth commandment to remember but are lead astray in following a non-Biblical law that was established by the Roman Catholic System. It is clear in all languages which day is the Sabbath. The Papacy may claim that the Lord’s Day is Sunday based on Rev. 1:10, however, it remains unclear how he arrives at that. The first day of the week was, is, and will remain Sunday, the day of the Sun worship. Daniel of the Bible confirms a power that will change times and laws.
