How can a youth balance his/her youthful activities such as education, daily job, and the work of God?
There is a specific text to augment our idea about this. Matt. 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.†In life, we spend our time on the things that are important to us. If Jesus is the centre of your life, you will allow Him to rule your life and it will all flow from a love relationship. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.†Everything belongs to God and the only thing that He really asks of us is to spend one special day with Him, namely Sabbath, as this is a space in time, filled by HIS presence. Other than that, by looking at the Holy Place of the tabernacle we have a typological look at the Christian walk. On the right is the table with showbread that signifies a type of Jesus, who is The Bread of Life since the Word became flesh. Scripture says: John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.†It is therefore very important for us to eat the spiritual manna. This means spending time in the Word of God as in Scripture we find satisfaction by this spiritual food. In the centre of the Holy place, right close to the curtain, we find the altar of incense that is used mornings and evenings. This typifies or signifies a type of our prayer life. We need to realize that prayer is the breath of the soul. On the left in the room is the seven-branched candlestick. Matt. 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.†By beholding the Lord we are changed and people will see the attributes of Christ in us – so will our light shine. There is a saying that goes: We may be so heavenly bound, that we are no earthly good. We need to survive here, but everything here is temporary so, the only two items we are able or allowed to take into heaven with us one day is; the characters formed on earth according to the pattern of Christ, and the friends we introduced to Him.
