In what frequency should holy communion occur?
Baptism is the new birth and should probably happen only once, yet, the Bible supports people partaking in a repeat baptism. It is totally permissible to happen another time if done correctly and when you find the real final Bible truth that leads to being baptized under this new theology. Acts 18:25 “This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. “ Acts 19:3 “And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?†So they said, “Into John’s baptism.†4Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.†There is no instructed need to have repeated baptisms although, we all sin regularly, and have a need to get refreshed. Jesus gives us this opportunity per die description below. The Lord’s Supper is a participation in the emblems of the body and blood of Jesus as an expression of faith in Him, our Lord and Saviour. In this experience of communion, Christ is present to meet and strengthen His people. As we partake, we joyfully proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes again. Preparation for the Supper includes self-examination, repentance, and confession. The Master ordained the service of foot-washing to signify renewed cleansing, to express a willingness to serve one another in Christlike humility and to unite our hearts in love. The communion service is open to all believing Christians We have the ability to participate in Holy Communion that renews our relationship with Jesus. We use this to clean our slate as we follow Jesus. There are no explicit directives in the Bible. Some churches allow this sacrament to occur every 13 weeks or 4 times per year. It is critical to be present as it allows preparation and to renew your vows with Christ!
