Government and the Decalogue?

This is a good question with a very short answer. Any and all governments should regulate structures around the second table of the Decalogue that emphasizes the horizontal relationships. When governments start wanting to regulate the vertical relationship with God (Religion, faith, belief) then it becomes concerning since this then involves the first table. Church and state should not mix! Religion and politics do not relate to one another.
