Is God the source of sin or, is there an explanation for sin?
God is the only source of good, but as His world evolves around love and to have real love in His creation, His subjects had to have the ability to make a choice. God could only accept worship if people choose to worship Him. 1 Joh. 3:9 “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.†If you are connected with God you cannot sin, He sits on the throne of your heart. Jam. 1:13 “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by Godâ€; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.†God cannot be tempted to sin, and it also clear that God is also not the source of temptation. The text suggests that the potential is there in everyone and the individual has a choice between good and evil, as was the case with Lucifér. He made his choice. If we have an explanation for sin, then we would also have an excuse for sin. Therefore, God needs to confirm that He created defective beings. It is critical to understand that God created Lucifér, “the Morning Star†that is also a name for Christ. “Satan†is a result of Lucifér starting to rebel against His Creator. You need to understand Lucifér was the most exalted created angel and one of the two cherubs in God’s presence and Gabriel was probably the other one and this is also seen with the ark of the covenant. We are allowed some behind the scene info in Isa.14 Eze.28 and Job 1. Isa. 14: 12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. Eze.28:13 “You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. 14“You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 15You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. 16“By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. 17“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you. 18“You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you.†The above supports that he was created without a flaw. The fact remains that Satan was so effective that he had one-third of the heavenly host buy into his rebellion and war broke out in heaven and God now had to allow this rebellion to run as even as He is: Heb. 12:29 “For our God is a consuming fire.†God could not just consume them as His character was misrepresented by His creature Satan and if He would consume them the two thirds that stayed loyal would now be followers out of fear and not love: Rev. 12:7 “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought, 8but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.†Rev. 12:4 “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth.†The Godhead was so honest, as God could have just omitted to create Lucifér but as a God of love they went ahead, and immediately after the rebellion moved to the Earth the Godhead confirmed that everything possible will be done to buy man back when Adam and Eve joined the rebellion: Gen. 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.†Gen. 1 and 2 confirm Eden and Rev. 21 and 22 Eden restored and we need to study the Bible to be exposed to the God of love involved with His creation and allowing it to be a spectacle to the universe that God is love but those who continue to rebel will eventually be eradicated and people saved will be so fixed emotionally and spiritually that they cannot be moved and they will never want the chaos again as experienced in this life and that is why sin will never rise again as the saved now loves God as they experienced the Godhead’s effort to restore the character of God and they are forever in love with their Creator.
